MOTHER’S DAY TRADITION: JASON WU

Every Mother’s Day I would hand draw a card for my mother-it is a tradition I’ve kept going for the last 20-some years.  We have so much fun looking through them every once in a while…. 

FAVORITE MOTHER’S DAY TRADITION: 

Growing up, my brother, sister and I would all make Mom breakfast in bed.  We would bring it to her along with cards we personally made for her.

FAVORITE MOTHER’S DAY TRADITION: 

When I lived in Nepal I would celebrate mother’s day by going for lunch outside of Kathmandu with my mother, Durga Rana, and my siblings.  We would then go to a spa and spend the rest of the day there just eating, relaxing, chatting…it was a day of food for our mind, body and soul! 

Now I speak with my mother almost every day on my way to work and I love those moments.  Those calls have become a tradition in themselves, a modern “mother’s day” tradition in a way.
